Connie, you apply your sense of refinement to an accurate yet sensitive observation of nature exactly where civilisation (should) start (s)
Each of your photos is an opportunity to suspend time and look in depth both to the marvels of nature and the inner yourself.
Then carefully looking at your work, trying to be as careful as you taking the pictures, I cannot help but think of Karl Blossfeldt. Do you know his work?

Xea, thank you for your wonderful, sensitive comment. I am learning all the time, as I pursue my interest in photographs. I am drawn to plant life instinctively, doing my best to capture what is appealing to me, and I believe my Soul’s eye captures more, then surprises me with – as you say – the depth of nature’s beauty. I searched into Blossfeldt, and found a marvelous quote – it feels so right, I should attempt to upload onto my home page, if I can. It is this: “The plant never lapses into mere arid functionalism; it fashions and shapes according to logic and suitability, and with its primeval force compels everything to attain the highest artistic form.” – Karl Blossfeldt
~postscript~ I have a series of “Patterns” photos which focuses on shapes and forms in nature, hope to upload sometime soon
